A global-scale event took place from August 20 to August 23 in the city of Lindau in southern Germany -- the tenth annual worldwide conference "Religions for Peace" held by the largest in the world interfaith nongovernmental organization by the same name. 900 religious representatives from 100 countries had the opportunity to present the results and plans for work in peacemaking in an era of global crisis and inter-ethnic, inter-religious conflict. Leaders of 17 religious teachings made proposals and announced projects aimed at achieving peace and ending wars. The conference was aimed at uniting efforts in respecting human rights, promoting interreligious dialogue and addressing issues related to climate change and environmental protection.
ALLATRA TV reporters from different German cities were invited to cover this landmark event. In the interviews, the participants of the conference noted the importance of consolidation of society on the basis of spiritual and moral values, the importance of mutual assistance and friendship of peoples, the need to unite efforts in adapting to the new climatic realities of today and creating conditions for peaceful coexistence in the era of climate migration. Special attention was paid to the initiative of women's organizations for peace.
