Kanu is a teacher from Nigeria who shares with us his thoughts about creative society in a frame of a project Creative Society. He describes his vision about such questions as kind of society he will feel happy in.
Kanu believes that creative society starts with sharing, knowledge and education should be available to everyone for free. Quality healthcare is also a necessary part of a creative society and everyone should have free access to it. The teacher from Nigeria also believes that a creative society is a society where people feel free, where no one struggles, but everyone cares for each other. It is the type of society where everybody comes together, shares what we have and then makes the world a better place for all.
Kanu: I want a society where people see one another as brothers, as sisters. Where people share the knowledge they have. People should feel free. It should be a society where you don't have to struggle. I mean life should not be just for the powerful. The society where everybody cares for everybody. I want a creative society, a constructive society. Not one that full of bickering, full of discrimination... So, it is the type of society where everybody comes together, shares what we have and then makes the world a better place for all.
Anna: Thank you! How do you see education and medicine, healthcare in a creative society? How can you describe it, what should education policy be like?
Kanu: For example, I am a teacher and my joy is when my students get a quality education. But if quality education is only for those that can pay for it - majority don't get it. In this situation quality education means nothing. So, I think in a creative society, in society that I want, quality education must be free for everyone. Because only when you have knowledge, only then you can be better. You know what's wrong and what's better for you.
Then health... I think we should be able to have good quality healthcare. Everyone should have access to good healthcare and should enjoy a good life.
